The Brass Roundhouse Scott Inman
As a lifelong brass collector and operator, Scott Inman began installing DCC in brass locomotives in 2001. As decoders, speakers, and lighting solutions have advanced, Scott has evolved his installations as technology changes. His presentation will share the tools and techniques to install DCC and sound in a HO Scale brass steam locomotive. This live clinic will offer attendees the opportunity to ask questions as the installation occurs.

The business, NixTrainz, was created from a problem that was vexing me. Observation of situations and solving problems has been an omnipresent activity on any path I’m following. Making things better is my passion.
Railroads and model railroading have been a passion of mine for years. From five years old, this has been true. My father’s father got me started with 027 when I was 5 years old and in high school I decider to model in HO. I enjoy all aspects of the hobby!
In my 60s I was treated to being a student conductor and student engineer. I was fearful of boredom in retirement but soon invented a product that has been very successful, Decoder Buddy. Decoder Buddys have been widely accepted for dc conversions and DCC upgrades and conversions. The list of products has grown slowly as I have observed the evolution of the industry.
Model Railroaders have been consistently great people to know and befriend. I always look forward to trips. I enjoy walking, photography, traveling, flying and of course model railroading.

Instructions for attendee registration: Download the “Particapant Welcome to Brass 2026 present by the MMRM form by clicking on the download button to the right of the name. The form is a fillable PDF. Once completed, save the form and email it to the musuem. Next scan the QR code below or follow the link to the museum’s online store. Click on the Brass 2026 link in the top menu. Once on this page, pick the items / quantity and add them to the cart. When completed checkout using any of the ways provided. You can print the receipt from the confirmation page if you want. You will receive an email with the receipt from MMRM via Clover. Please bring this receipt with you to the museum the show for admittance / banquet / tee shirt. The email address on the registration form and the cart must match for verification purposes.
